Teaching Assistant

Wijs & Co are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to work in schools for handicapped children in and around Rochdale. You will need experience in working with either physically or mentally handicapped children or adults during the last 10 months.

Your responsibilities will include helping students with both their individual educational needs and their personal care. Applicants must be qualified Teaching Assistants and should show great patience, interpersonal skills, creativity and a willingness to give 200% at all times.

Support Workers

Support Workers are required for homes for the elderly in Rochdale, Oldham, Bury, Bolton and Manchester.  Responsibilities include general care duties, as well as specialist assistants to support residents with mental health issues and dementia, including Alzheimers patients. You will also be expected to help dress, wash and bath residents, in addition to assisting with meals and activities. You may also be called on to fulfill domestic duties such as washing dishes, serving and preparing food as well as general kitchen duties.

The ideal candidate will have or be willing to obtain an enhanced disclosure and police clearance form and will ideally be in possession of a Food Hygiene Certificate. The ability to work well within a team and excellent communication skills are essential, work experience within the care sector is a definite advantage.

Hours of work

Candidates must be prepared to be flexible with regard to days and hours of work, as various shifts are available.

Care Worker

We are looking for care worker to work in Blackburn, Bolton and Rochdale areas to provide personal care to elderly people at residential / sheltering accommodations, duties including washing, cleaning, preparing and serving light meals/breakfast and helping with medication.

Working hours: 10 hours night shift starting from 9.00 pm till 7.00 am

Care Assistant

We are looking for care worker to work in Manchester, Rochdale and Toddomorden areas to provide personal care to elderly people at nursing homes, duties including washing, cleaning, preparing and serving light meals/breakfast and helping with medication.

Working hours: 12 hours night /day shift Monday to Sunday
