Care Home Manager

The Home Manager is responsible for the overall management and success of the care and nursing team within the home. They will be accountable for the provision of effective professional nursing leadership and pro-active resource management.

Job Description:

To oversee the care provided to all residents in a large Nursing home

To take overall charge of the day to day running of the unit

To motivate and lead staff in providing a high quality service to residents

To follow policies and procedures

Job Requirements: To develop and maintain a warm, caring environment geared to meeting individual needs and providing the opportunity for maximum independence, having regard to the rights of individuals to privacy, freedom of choice and opportunity for personal expression

To ensure that high standards of care are delivered to meet the needs of the individual resident

To support residents in the taking of decisions in matters which affect their lifestyle

To ensure that a structured and documented induction programme is carried out for all new staff

To ensure CQC and NMC guidelines are met

Necessary Skills/Qualifications:

Registered General Nurse with current NMC Pin

Previous experience managing a large nursing home

Experience understanding the needs of older people with dementia

Knowledge of CQC requirements

Registered RGN Nurse

RNA or RGN Level 1 required. Experienced first level nurse required for 36 hours for a nursing home. Duties include medication, administration, delivering personal care, wound care, care planning, liaising with mdt, attending reviews, strong leadership skills required. Training will be coordinated with supervision to ensure clinical skills are updated. Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by employer.

RNMH or RMN Level 1 required. Must be aged 18 +Must have experience in a supervisory position in care/rehabilitation, or in a mental health field. Duties include looking after the nursing needs of 50 EMI YMI residents. Duties include supervision of junior carers, liaising with the manager, and all aspects of care. IT TECHNICIAN 

working within their IT Team. Main Duties:. - Administer and maintain IT systems to ensure they function as efficiently as possible. - Diagnose and resolve technical issues. - Maintain server back-ups. - Set-up and configure desktops, laptops and phones. - Maintenance of telecommunication systems. - Install and configure authorised software to desktops and laptops, provide software use support. Candidates must have previous experience in an I.T Support role or an IT Qualification (Graduate) along with experience of basic HTML, I.T Systems and a good knowledge of Windows based systems including office, windows 7, 8 required. Any experience on Windows server 2008, 2012 and Microsoft Exchange 2007, 2010, 2013 and active directory would be a bonus but not required.
